Change height audio settings

Dolby Atmos provides two height audio channels that provide sound above the listening area to expand the sound stage beyond the horizontal plane. When listening to Dolby Atmos audio through Sonos Arc, Arc SL, Arc Ultra, Beam (Gen 2), Beam Ultra, or Era 300, you can adjust the level of the height audio channels by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. Go to the Settings icon, a gear Settings menu.
  3. Under My System, select the room with your Atmos-capable home theater product.
  4. Under Sound, select Height Audio.

You can adjust the following settings:

Overhead Sound Mode

Toggle simulated overhead sound on or off. This setting is recommended if you have less than 4 inches of space above your soundbar. Overhead sound will be simulated, rather than played through the top of the speaker.

Simulated overhead sound is supported on Beam Ultra.
