Toggle a voice service’s wake word chime on or off

When a voice service is added to your voice-enabled Sonos product, the service can play a chime when you say the wake word to notify you that your Sonos product is listening. This chime can be turned on and off in the Sonos app under the voice service’s settings.

You can toggle the wake word chime on or off for Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. Sonos Voice Control does not use a wake word chime.

Sonos app for iOS or Android

1. Go to the Settings menu and select General Settings.
2. Select Voice Assistants.
3. Choose your voice service from the list, then select the name of the room you’d like to modify.
4. Toggle Wake Word Chime on or off.

Sonos S1 Controller for iOS or Android

1. From the Settings tab, select Services & Voice.
2. Under Voice, select the name of your voice service in the list.
3. Under Sonos Products, select the name of the room you’d like to modify.
4. Toggle Wake Word Chime on or off.
